1. 1. What does ‘4-molecular weight hyaluronic acid’ mean?

Hyaluronic acid is used, in cosmetic formulas for instance, by employing molecules with different molecular weights: in other words, they are of different sizes, each one with a different, specific function.
The larger molecules settle on the surface, providing hydration and creating a film that retains water on the skin, while small molecules, on the other hand, reach the epidermis. And the very small ones sink down to the dermo-epidermal junction, thus providing constant hydration and stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin. The fourth cross-linked molecular weight is made up of molecules that are linked together to form, as per its name, a cross-linked structure that instantly multiplies the skin's water reserves up to 50 times, thus counteracting the natural slowdown of cellular metabolism and plumping the skin from the inside.
Face D products that use the four different weights of hyaluronic acid, and which therefore have very high hydrating properties, are Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrating Firming Body Cream, and our range of Cleanser Micellar Water.

 

2. 2. Which Face D products contain sun protection factor (SPF)?

Face D products containing SPF are Antipollution Firming Cream SPF 15, and CC Tone Correcting Cream SPF 20.

 

3. 3. Which Face D products are vegan?

4. 4. Are Face D products tested on animals?

No Face D product was tested on animals. We are a 100% cruelty-free brand.

 

5. 5. What is the difference between a vegan and a vegetarian product?

The term VEGETARIAN identifies products that do not include ingredients of animal origin obtained from slaughter. However, vegetarian products can include ingredients naturally derived from animals, such as honey, beeswax, milk, lanolin, etc.

6. 6. Should I rinse my face after applying Pure Peel AHA Solution?

The product should not be rinsed off, in order to gain all the benefits of its concentrated acids’ exfoliating action, which smooths and revitalises the skin’s texture.
It is advisable to moisturise the skin after exfoliation: you can try Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid or Antipollution Firming Cream for Face and Neck.

 

7. 7. Can the Pure Peel AHA Solution be applied during the summer?

We generally recommend applying Pure Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution in the evening, no more than twice a week, and on skin that is not too tanned and has been protected during the day using a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) higher than 20. However, as Pure Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution accelerates the cell renewal process, if you think you will be exposed to the sun for longer periods (e.g. when on holiday), we advise against using the product, to avoid the possible appearance of spots. During the summer, we rather recommend you use hydrating and soothing products. For instance, you could try our Refreshing Aftersun Mask, the Antipollution Firming Cream for Face and Neck, or the Hydrating Firming Body Cream with 4-molecular weight hyaluronic acid.

 

8. 8. Is it normal to experience facial redness after applying Pure Peel AHA Solution?

Definitely yes: the redness that appears after applying this product means that its pure active ingredients are acting on the epidermis. After using Pure Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution, we recommend also applying products such as Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid or Antipollution Firming Cream for Face and Neck, in order to properly hydrate the exfoliated skin.

 

9. 9. What is the % of hyaluronic acid present in Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid?

The percentage of hyaluronic acid present in Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid is 1.25%, a higher quantity than that normally present in other similar products.

 

10. 10. Can Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid and Pure Lift Elastin & Collagen be applied to the eye contour area?

These products are not specifically tested for use on the periocular area, which is particularly delicate. However, they are nonetheless tested on sensitive skin, so that application on the eye contour area is fine, paying special attention to avoid contact with the eyes.
The hydrating properties of Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid or the toning ones of Pure Lift Elastin & Collagen can be combined with the action of the Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream, which revitalises, smooths and improves skin elasticity.

 

11. 11. Can Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid and Pure Lift Elastin & Collagen be used in the same skincare routine?

All Face D products are complementary to each other and as such can be used in the same skincare routine.
Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid deeply hydrates the skin of the face and neck for an immediate plumping effect, while Pure Lift Elastin & Collagen counteracts the loss of skin tone and firmness by improving skin elasticity.
When used together, we recommend applying Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid in the morning, before moisturising, and Pure Lift Elastin & Collagen in the evening, before going to sleep.

12. 12. What are the differences between Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid, Pure Peel AHA Solution, and Pure Lift Elastin & Collagen?

Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid is a pure, concentrated active substance with highly hydrating properties and the consistency of a serum. The product mainly contains 4-molecular weight hyaluronic acid and is enriched with niacinamide and provitamin B5, and should be applied daily, in the morning and/or in the evening.
Pure Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution is a facial exfoliating solution, suitable for revitalising tone and improving skin texture by minimising expression lines, small irregularities and impurities. Its substance is aqueous and mainly contains glycolic, tartaric and mandelic acids, and it should be used twice a week.
Pure Lift Elastin & Collagen is a pure, concentrated active substance with the consistency of a serum, primarily made of elastin and collagen, to tone the tissues and enhance skin elasticity. It’s therefore suitable for more mature skin, and we recommend applying it in the morning and/or in the evening.

  

13. 13. Should I rinse my face after applying Cleanser Micellar Water for Face and Eyes?

No, there is no need to. Cleanser Micellar Water for Face and Eyes has both cleansing and hydrating properties, thanks to the 4-molecular weight hyaluronic acid it contains, and does not need to be rinsed off.
For greater hydrating action, you can also apply our Antipollution Firming Cream for Face and Neck, or the Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid serum.

 

14. 14. How do I know which shade of CC Cream is right for me?

There are three shades: light, medium and caramel. The light shade corresponds to phototype I and II, that is, people with a complexion similar to that of Nicole Kidman and Alessia Marcuzzi.  The medium shade, on the other hand, corresponds to phototype III and IV, and is perfect for people with a complexion similar to that of Michelle Hunziker and Elisabetta Canalis. Finally, the caramel shade, corresponding to phototype V, is suitable for people with a complexion similar to that of Belen Rodriguez.

 

15. 15. How do I use the Whitening Dark Spot Patches?

These patches must be applied daily on the affected area; as they are transparent, you can do so during the day or before going to sleep. However, you need to apply the patches on clean, cleansed skin, and remove them after 8 hours.

 

16. 16. Can the Nourishing Mask for Eyelashes & Eyebrows also be used as a mascara primer?

Yes, of course.  This product is applied to the eyelashes to nourish and protect them, and, if desired, you can then apply mascara to increase their volume.

 

17. 17. Is it possible to use Nourishing Mask for Eyelashes & Eyebrows after lash lamination?

Nourishing Mask for Eyelashes & Eyebrows has not been tested for specific use after lash lamination; however, we do not expect that this product’s composition would cause any alteration to the treatment. Furthermore, since its formula is light and has low viscosity, and as such does not weigh the lashes down, its use should not reduce the lifting effect of the treatment. In fact, this mascara mask contains phytokeratine, which thanks to its nourishing properties promotes the nourishment and strengthening of eyelashes.
Lash lamination is a professional keratin-based treatment performed on eyelashes that makes them thicker and more curved.

 

18. 18. How do I clean the Perfecting Face Brush without damaging it?

Thoroughly soak the brush under lukewarm – not warm – water. However, be careful not to get the brush handle too wet, or it could become unstuck in the long run. Apply a few drops of mild soap, possibly neutral, to the bristles and massage them gently. Rinse thoroughly, making sure that there are no soap residues left between the bristles. Dab the bristles with a cotton cloth and allow to air dry; do not use a hair dryer and keep the brush away from intense heat sources.  If used daily, the brush should be washed at least once a week; if used only a few times during the week, it can be washed every 10 days.

 

19. 19. I have dry skin. Which beauty routine is right for me?

Dry skin is a symptom of poor or inadequate hydration.

20. 20. My skin is prone to acne. Which beauty routine is right for me?

Skin prone to acne is often linked to hyperfunctional sebaceous glands and the formation of bacteria that cause localised inflammatory reactions.

22. 22. I have sensitive skin. Which beauty routine is right for me?

Sensitive skin is a sign that your skin barrier is getting weaker.
Face D offers a selection of products with exfoliating, hydrating and soothing properties.
Hydrating and soothing products include: Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid serum, applied to face and neck twice a day; Pure Plump HA4 Hyaluronic Acid Face Mask, applied to face and neck once a week; Antipollution Firming Cream for Face and Neck, applied twice a day.
Products that meet different needs, also ideal for sensitive skin, include: Non-comedogenic CC Correcting cream, applied to face and neck; Cleanser Micellar Water, applied to face and neck. Both products are rich in hyaluronic acid, to ensure skin hydration.

 

23. 23. Are all Face D products suitable for black skin tones?

Yes, Face D products can be used on all skin types, including black skin, with the exception of Pure Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution, which may cause depigmentation. Due to this, we recommend that you first test this specific product on a small, concealed area of your skin.
Moreover, CC Tinted Cream and Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream may not best meet the cosmetic needs of very dark complexions, as they contain light pigments.

 

24. 24. Can Face D products be used during pregnancy? And while breastfeeding?

Although Face D products are not specifically tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women, they are dermatologically tested through rigorous clinical trials; there are therefore no particular contraindications other than known hypersensitivity to one or more product components.
Nonetheless, we do not advise using it on sensitive areas, such as the breasts, during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. For more information, we recommend you consult your GP.

 

25. 25. I made a mistake when completing the order, can I modify/cancel it?

If the order has already entered the shipping process, neither of the two options will be available (although you will still be able to return the products once you receive them). If that is not the case, both options are available and the buyer should email ecommerce@faced.com specifying in the subject line the reference order number as stated in the confirmation email received. More specifically, an order can be modified only if the quantity and price of the new product/s ordered correspond to the values of the previous one/s. We will send a cancellation confirmation email to the email address indicated in your account. You can also check that the order has been cancelled by visiting the Order History in the My Account section.

 

26. 26. Can I change the delivery address?

If the order has entered the shipping process, this option will no longer be available. If that is not the case, the buyer must email to ecommerce@faced.com specifying in the subject line the reference order number as stated in the confirmation email received as well as the details (Name, Surname, Street, Number, Postcode, City, Province, Country, Telephone number) of the new delivery address.

 

27. 27. I have received the wrong product/a product is missing, what can I do?

If the package contains an incorrect product or is missing an item, the buyer should email ecommerce@faced.com to report the problem, specifying in the subject line the reference order number as stated in the confirmation email received. We will then take care to organise the collection and replacement of the wrong product, or the dispatch of the missing product, by courier, within 72 working hours.

We have no active collaborations just now, but you are welcome to send us a media kit or a presentation at social@faced.com. We will be happy to contact you if any opportunities for collaboration arise.

32. 32. How do I receive and how do I use the Gift Card?

The Face D e-Gift Card is a digital card sent by email to the purchaser, and can be forwarded to whoever will use it.The e-mail received redirect you to a landing page, where you get the code of the Gift Card ready to be used during checkout. It offers absolute freedom of choice on the product to be purchased and has no expiry date.
It can also be used for multiple orders, until credit runs out and is valid only online at www.faced.com. There are 4 amounts worth: € 30, € 50, € 75, € 100.

 

1. 33. What if I forget to remove the Whitening dark spot patches over 8 hours?

Clinical evaluations have tested the Whitening dark spot patches for up to 12 hours, so there is no risk in case of forgetfulness. However, we recommend keeping the patch for the recommended duration of 6/8 hours.

 

1. 34. What products can be used to cleanse my face from makeup and remove all the impurities from my skin?

The Face and Eye Micellar Water allows you to remove make-up and any type of impurities with a simple gesture, without having to rinse your face. We then recommend using the Anti-Pollution Firming Cream Spf15 on the face and neck in the morning and / or evening, to protect against pollution, and the Pure Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution on dry face and neck, twice a week.

 

1. 35. Why can face creams create micro dots during their application?

Several reasons can contribute to creating the crumbling phenomenon of the product during application, such as: the face has not been well cleansed, the applied quantity is excessive, the overlapping of several products, the type of skin (too oily), and gelling agents contained in the cream (which give softness and body). In this case, we recommend using Pure Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution once or twice a week to remove dead cells and promote regeneration of skin cells.

 

1. 36. When Pure Energy Caffeine can be used?

Pure Energy Caffeine has a fresh and light texture, without fragrance and can be used both in the morning on cleansed and dry skin, and throughout the day, to refresh and restore energy to the skin. The nebulizer guarantees a rapid and homogeneous diffusion of the product on the face, neck and neckline. It can be sprayed even when you are already wearing make-up, it absorbs quickly without leaving residues and stains neither on the skin nor on the clothes.

 

1. 37. Can I use Pure Glowy Complex A.C.E. during summer?

During summer, Pure Glowy Complex A.C.E. can be used in the evening (to go out or before going to bed) and during the day, but only if there is no long exposure to the sun.
Otherwise, we do not recommend application to avoid possible photosensitisation phenomena.
